Ok, here’s another restaurant that I don’t know how I overlooked this whole time. I lived in Florida for 10 years & while I don’t miss the state, there’s 3 things that I do miss: my family, friends, and the Cuban food!
So I had a craving for Cuban & since I’ve heard so much about this place, I thought I’d finally give it a try.
My first impression was definitely a good one. The staff was very warm & welcoming to me. As expected, the restaurant stayed pretty full through the evening, but that didn’t compromise the service.
This is another restaurant that I’ll be back to try the full menu once I have the baby. For my dinner that evening, I went with a Cuban classic: rope vieja. The meat was just so tender & juicy with the right amount of seasonings. It blended perfectly with the black beans & rice. The sweet plantains were a great way to finish the meal.
