I couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up my South Bay Food Fest adventures than with the Kogi BBQ truck. This truck has been around the longest & I wasn’t surprised that a line started forming 10 minutes before they opened. The line did move pretty quickly once they opened.
They were serving a modified menu for the event, which means I’ll have to stalk them again to try even more goodies. The staff was really super friendly & very efficient.
I had their chicken taco, which as you can see was filled with a generous amount of lettuce & some cilantro too. The flavor was very fresh, a slight kick to it, and the chicken was very tender. These tacos are very cheap so definitely sample a few while you’re there.
I don’t know why it took me so long to try out Kogi but I’m glad I finally got the chance. They have 4 trucks roaming the streets of LA if that tells you how popular they’ve become. Can’t wait to catch them in the South Bay soon so I can try more of their regular menu!

I have yet to try out Kogi, too! I just seem to miss them. They never come by my area.
I seriously only found them this one time! You’d think w/ 4 trucks they’d be easy to find eh?
wow, there’s a lot of green on that taco! glad to hear it was tasty and cheap. i’ve never had the kogi truck either even though it the original.
I assure you there was meat on that taco! Yes this was a first for me. Crazy busy too. I’d like to try the rest of the menu since it was abridged for the festival, but I hope the lines are shorter!
