Follow That Food Truck! The Nom Nom Truck

Yes, yes I’m probably one of the last ones to try this truck. But the last time I saw it, the line was super crazy long, so will you forgive me?

So I spotted the Nom Nom Truck at the SouthBay Food Fest with a fairly short line, so I had to go for it.

As much as I wanted to try the Banh Mi & compare it to the one I had at the Eat Phamish truck, I had to pace myself since I was sampling several trucks that day.

So I went with the next best thing, a lemongrass chicken taco. I found the seasonings on the chicken to be a tad spicy, so the refreshing and tart lemongrass helped to cut through that. It was a good balance. The veggies were crunchy and the chicken was tender and juicy. A perfect taco.

To wash it down, I ordered the watermelon basil lemonade. It really quenched my thirst on a sunny afternoon. The sweet watermelon really stood out more than the lemon flavor, but that was a good thing! The basil added a nice peppery, and sweet aftertaste.

I hope I see the Nom Nom Truck again soon. I’d like to try their Banh Mi once & for all.

I don’t think I’ve ever eaten off a truck. I don’t think they’re around here. But, man, that lemonade sounds good.

Thanks for visiting on my SITS day. It was a fun day for me.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

I tried the nom nom truck once and got the banh mi with everything on it. Unfortunately, it was just okay. They were out of pate AND they forgot to add jalapenos to it. : ( I still prefer Lee’s for banh mi!
