Lately, olive oil has been the preferred oil to cook with as it’s filled with vitamin e and the “good” cholesterol. If you’re an olive oil fiend, you need to get yourself over to Oliovera in Hermosa Beach.

The store carries a large variety of olive oil. From plain to ones infused with oranges, jalapeno, peach, garlic… you can find it there. They also carry an assortment of olive oil’s best friend, balsamic vinegar and also hand lotion made from this popular oil. The girls who run the shop are very friendly and helpful. They know their product well so don’t be afraid to ask questions. They also offer free samples too.

Each of these vats has information on the oil, what it pairs with and of course, the price. The staff fills up a glass jar for you to take home. If you bring it back for a refill, it’s two dollars off.

 

I took home their mandarin infused, and garlic infused olive oils to make shish-kebabs After a few hours of marinading and a few minutes of grilling, some delicious kebabs came out. My guests all loved them. I’m pretty sure you’ll like their olive oils too!
