A whole week just flew by! The good news is that I did stick to the meal plan. I went by the book for breakfast & lunch. I didn’t feel hungry like I thought I would. In fact, I had more energy than when I usually have a bowl of cereal and a sandwich. I however didn’t follow the diet for dinner. While I didn’t exactly eat a pizza every night, I just ate some lean meals from the Hungry Girl cookbook as well as some from the Better Homes & Gardens & Betty Crocker as well. I thought this would suffice but I guess not.
As much as I was feeling good, unfortunately, the scale didn’t reflect that. I was still skating five times a week on top of the diet. Skating 1 hour will burn 400 calories. I skated for 90 mins & it was more intense than going around the rink in a circle. Again, my body didn’t appreciate this either. I got on the scale & I weighed exactly the same as when I started the diet. Frustrated isn’t even the half of it. I felt like I did all this work for nothing.
I’m begrudgingly sticking with it this week & doing the dinner part too. It sucks for my husband though because I don’t want him to have to go on a diet with me but I don’t want to cook two different meals either. The diet claims that I’ll lose 10 lbs in a month so I should be down three pounds at this point. Again, nothing.
How do you stick to a diet?
